Birmingham Dogs Home has announced the temporary closure of its Wolverhampton centre as it embarks on a major £4.1 million refurbishment, designed to transform the facility and significantly improve the experience and welfare of the dogs in its care.

Residents are welcome to drop in and find some free help and support on a range of money, health and safety matters at an open day in Penn this month.

People are being invited to support a festive appeal to make it another Christmas to remember for the city’s young care leavers.
