Wednesday matinée is a relaxed performance. You Know My Mum features a designated Access Team touring with the production who can support audience members before, during, and after the performance.
Both performances will be BSL-interpreted, audio-described, and captioned.
"You Know My Mum" is a cheeky comedy about life and death for all the family. A play of two acts, it explores life and death through the eyes of Bluey and Alex. Bluey is a baby bird and Alex a 25-year-old woman with Down's syndrome struggling with the death of her mum.
While Bluey learns about fried chicken factories and joins a boot camp for birds, Alex battles Harry Potter monsters and dreams about life after death. As her wild imagination comes to life, Alex will learn that the love she thought she lost is actually all around her.
Content warning: some scary moments and conversations about death, animal cruelty and environmental destruction. This performance contains sudden loud noises.
