The Who Tribute (formerly The Goldhawks) are the world’s No. 1 tribute to The Who with outstanding musicianship and vocals as near as you’ll ever get to the real thing. No other tribute comes close. They have performed The Who’s iconic hits and rock operas across the UK in over 180 theatre shows, gaining a standing ovation every single show, making them the most critically-acclaimed and the most entertaining The Who tribute band around.

Lead singer, Doug Freeman founded the first ever Who tribute band,  ‘Who’s Who’, back in ’95, rapidly achieving meteoric success selling out just about every show around the country. They performed at The Who Conventions and featured on several television channels including BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. Paul Townshend was an early fan turning up at one of their first gigs at The Harrow Hotel where his brother, Pete, first smashed a Rickenbacker guitar.  Hailing the band as “Fabulous, incredible !” he went on to win The Who Trivia Quiz that night. Just as well!

As individual musicians, they have been performing, professionally, for most of their lives. As drummer Steely says, “We decided to create our unique The Who tribute due to our shared love for the original band and music. As genuine fans of The Who, we can recapture the style and sound like no other Who tribute band out there.”

In a relatively short space of time, they have wowed audiences and theatre-goers across the UK and Europe with amazing productions of The Who’s timeless classics. Having 1000’s of 5-star reviews from the most hardened fans of The Who is testament to just how great this band is.
