Our next talk will be given by acclaimed speaker Chris Twiggs, on the trench raider and tourist Howard Vivian Mander.
He was a junior officer in the Wolverhampton Territorials who served throughout the Great War. Chris’ captivating talk focuses on Mander’s war service, in which he was awarded the Military Cross, and the photographs he took of former battlefields that provide an intriguing insight into the extent of war damage and the process of rebuilding.
You can join us for this talk on Thursday, 15th May at Penn Bowling and Social Club at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start.
You’re advised to arrive early however, as Chris’ talk with us last year was a sell out.
