Doctor Marigold's Prescriptions brings Charles Dickens's beloved storyteller vividly to life in an acclaimed Edinburgh fringe adaptation by award-winning BBC writer, and actor Ian Pearce (New York Radio Festival 2025) As popular in Dickens's own performances as A Christmas Carol, this engaging tale reveals the author at his most entertaining and humane.

Pearce plays the quick-witted cheapjack, Doctor Marigold, whose comic, showmanship masks a deeply moving story of loss and unexpected love.

Set in the lively world of Victorian fairgrounds, it follows Marigold's journey from hardship to hope as he cares for a deaf child, forming a bond beyond words.

A warm, humorous, and touching solo performance, perfect for Christmas and must not be missed!
